BTW, is "a butchers" the only use of Cockney rhyming slang in Robyn's work? (Butcher's hook = look)
As you know if you've heard the song, the E A D9 combination stays on E for a long while then stabs through A to D9, then there's a gap b efore going back to the E. I find that going back to A in this gap keeps the right feel to the song (although the Soft Boyd filled it up with some neat basswork instead)
If anyone REALLY wants me to, I could try to work out that lovely funky bass line, too :)
