Rolling Stone (Issue 626, March 19, Wayne&Garth on the cover) Random Notes (page 11) Score one for sharp, intelligent guitar pop. Robyn Hitchcock has hit the road for a tour with Matthew Sweet. "It's the first time we've ever had an opening act that people finish their dinner early to come see," says Hitchcock. "You can see a buzz on him, vibrating like a huge furry caterpillar." Hitchcock himself is used to pulling in fans in droves, but the ever literate songwriter figures he'd better stay on the road while he has the staying power. "We've got to get this stuff over and done with while we're able to hold guitars," says Hitchcock. "Mine's very heavy."
