Refusal to cut hair, fake working class accents or devise an image, insured zilch interest outside Cambridge and New York. 1981-82 Two Solo LP's (BLACK SNAKE DIAMOND ROLE, GROOVY DECAY) gain no new ground. Rock world in the grip of synthetic, technological image conscious music. I can't get my quiff together.
